Shaw has been involved in the nonwovens business since the 1980s, when he joined Freudenberg Texbond, the U.S. subsidiary of Politex, which rapidly became a leader in North America for the production of polyester reinforcements for bituminous roofing membranes. In July, Shaw moved with his wife and two children to Lake Como, which is near the Freudenberg Politex headquarters in Novedrate.

After more than 34 years in the Freudenberg Group, Sollini will continue in his role as regional representative for Russia to foster the development of the group in the region. In Freudenberg Politex, he has been appointed as a member of the supervisory board, keeping also representative roles in some Italian associations.
